The infamous Womb chair was designed to fulfil Florence Knoll's wish for "a chair that was like a basket full of pillows, something I could really curl up in". The chair broke all the original design moulds and set a new, higher standard for design. 

  • Design: Eero Saarinen, 1946
  • Brand: Knoll
  • Dimensions: W106 x D94 x H92cm -Seat Height: 45cm.
  • Materials: Moulded, reinforced fibreglass shell, with a layer of foam and upholstered in a choice of fabrics. 
  • Fabric options: Available in a wide range of fabrics, we recommend Hallingdaal, Tonus or Divina for a more classic Knoll look.

Lead Time: 6 - 8 weeks

Due to the vast array of colours and fabrics available, please contact us if you are interested in this product. 

We deliver great design across the UK. Depending on the size and fragility of your order, it will be shipped either by courier or with our dedicated third-party service.

If you are local to Oxford we also offer a collection service from our warehouse based in OX4. Please select 'Pick Up' at the check out.

Delivery charges are calculated after entering your address at the checkout. To see an estimated delivery cost, please view our delivery page. For overseas deliveries please contact us for a quote. For larger items such as sofas and dining tables, please state on your order if there are any access issues eg. narrow corridors, stairs and lifts.

This item is made to order especially for you, using the finest materials and craftsmanship. We will order the items for you and keep you updated on the progress. The lead time displayed is for guidance and is an estimate for the typical delivery time for the product & can be subject to change. Once your order has been confirmed with the supplier, we will be in touch to provide an ETA. We aim to check, pack and dispatch all orders as soon as they arrive into our Oxford warehouse.  Please see our returns policy before ordering bespoke or made to order items.
